Extreme
Duty Fixed Sight Set
for
Smith & Wesson Adjustable Sight Revolvers
The
EXTREME DUTY FIXED SIGHT conversion will
convert your adjustable sight K,L,orN frame Smith
& Wesson revolver to a fixed sight tactical
revolver. The rear sight blade on the adjustable rear
sight on a Smith & Wesson revolver is very prone
to snagging on your clothing and being broken off when
exiting a vehicle or during a takedown. The EXTREME
DUTY FIXED REAR SIGHT is contoured to completely
eliminate the problem of snagging on your clothing
during a speed draw, or breaking off when struck
during a vehicle exit or takedown. The EXTREME DUTY
FIXED REAR SIGHT set comes with a .330" x 65
11 dovetail front sight. The installation of the
dovetail front sight allows the revolver to be zeroed
for both windage and elevation. The EXTREME DUTY
FIXED REAR SIGHT is a drop-in installation on the
new style Smith & Wesson revolvers with the round
front rear sight leaf. The old style square front rear
sight leaf revolvers will require drilling and tapping
of the top strap to accommodate the two screws that
attach the rear sight to the frame. The dovetail front
sight will require the machining of a dovetail in the
front sight base on any of the revolvers. The dovetail
front sight is furnished with a blade that is extra
tall and has no ramp cut. This allows you to customize
the angle of ramp and cut the height of the blade to
zero the revolver with your carry ammo.- The dovetail
is extra wide so that you can drift the sight to zero
the revolver for windage and then cut the dovetail
sides flush with the front sight base. There is also a
I/ 1 6" hole drilled vertically through the front
sight blade to allow the installation of a 1/16"
roll pin. The installation of the roll pin, once the
revolver has been zeroed for windage, will assure that
the front sight will never drift out of the dovetail.
The
EXTREME DUTY REAR SIGHT is available with or
without white dots. Night sights can be installed in
the EXTREME DUTY FRONT AND REAR SIGHTS once
they have been installed and zeroed.
Cylinder
& Slide will install and zero the EXTREME DUTY
FIXED SITES SET on your revolver. The cost
